Want to know how to build a downline in network marketing?  Well you’ve reached the right place.  Big income is made in networking marketing from recruiting or sharing the opportunity.  Paul Getty once said that he would rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 people versus 100% of his own efforts. That is called leverage.  This is what makes recruiting so important in the industry.

Recruiting results in new people coming into your organization. Your organization needs the excitement and energy that new people bring.  The energy that a new person carries can re-ignite some of the older folks on your team.  Recruiting new people also helps to advance the momentum of your organization.

How to Build a Downline in Network Marketing

First you have to understand that there is a difference between Recruiting and Prospecting.  Signing on or enrolling a new recruit is Recruiting and it is the result of Prospecting, which means exploring, looking for or interviewing the right candidate.  In this industry, people do not recruit a lot of people because they don’t spend enough time looking for them or prospecting.  The key to becoming a master recruiter is to spend more time prospecting, or mining for gold. Remember that you’re looking for quality people.

I can remember when I was looking to get to the next level in my business, I wrote down on a piece of paper exactly the type of person I was looking for. That paper read something like this: I am looking for like-minded business women just like me, people who want to go all the way to the top.”  I kept that piece of paper in my wallet and took it with me everywhere I went and read it often throughout the day, and those were exactly the type of people I began to attract.

What Is a Quality Prospect?

A quality prospect is someone who will give the time, money and commitment necessary to grow their small business”.  This means that they must want to build a business, and they must have the resources and skills necessary to do so.  There is no getting around this fact.  An unemployed person is not necessarily a quality prospect, because while they may have a lot time, they most likely do not have a lot of money.  The old cliché is correct: it takes money to make money.  And while a person doesn’t have to have a ton of money to be successful in this industry, it does require a certain amount of resources.

A quality prospect is also available.  That is not to say they aren’t busy; busy people actually make great consultants because they know how to get things done with a small amount of time.  However, if a person doesn’t have time to work his/her business, then that’s not a good person for your team.  A quality prospect is also committed to the business and to the team. They show up and they move up.  They have strong reasons for being committed and their whys are big.  Once again, time, money and commitment are three strong characteristics that you should look for in prospects to make your job of building a large network of distributors a lot easier.  These distributors will begin to duplicate themselves, and you will end up with a large organization of quality prospects versus having the opposite occur.

Build a Network Marketing Downline Like An HR Professional

Networkers could learn a lesson or two from professional recruiters in Corporate America. When someone from the Human Resources department of a major corporation is looking for a candidate to fill a position, he/she has a listing of required skills that are necessary to perform the job according to the job description, and this ensures that they make the “right” match.  In the network marketing industry we don’t always seek out quality prospects; we look for anyone who can breathe and that is not necessarily the best way to build your business.  If you want a network of individuals who can duplicate your success, then you’re looking for a particular type of person who will fit a certain requirement to do the things that you do.  Therefore, it is a good idea to list out the kinds of skills you would want your prospects to have, such as:

  • Money to be able to finance their investment
  • Great Presentation Skills
  • A Good Personality
  • A Detail-Oriented style
  • The ability to Multi-task
  • Good Follow-up skills
  • Dependability
  • A Job
  • Credibility and Integrity

These are just some of the qualities you might look for.  But it is up to you to decide the type of individuals you want to work with and once you have this decided, you want to begin to think about all the people you know who have these qualities.  The names that you come up with when you think about these skills and traits are those that you want to contact first to share with them your business opportunity.

Create Your Hit List

Developing a hit list of people to contact when you begin your business is great. You want to make sure you’ve contacted all those people on that list and when you’re seeking to go to the next level, if those folks on the list have not yet become a part of your business, you might want to give them another call because timing is everything.  The first time you called may not have been good for them, but this time may be better.  And if it is still not a good time for them to participate in the business with you, then your job is to ask for referrals.

Prospecting individuals to participate in your business is a process. You have to take prospective distributors through a series of steps before they can make a decision regarding whether or not they will want to become a part of your organization.  Even though it happens, it is rare that a person who is first introduced to your opportunity immediately decides to jump on board.  Beware of people who make these kinds of quick decisions because while you can get excited by the idea of signing on a new recruit, if this person does not produce, you will end up disappointed.

Be Prepared When Prospecting to Grow Your Downline

Just like with selling, good prospecting begins with good preparation. If you want to have a good day of meeting new people, you must be prepared to meet them.  You should prepare yourself with company materials to share and possibly product as well.  Most network marketing companies offer a wide variety of collateral material for use when prospecting.  These items could include brochures, CD’s, product samples, etc., that you should always carry with you because prospects are everywhere. Prospects are in the grocery store, the library, the park, the laundry mat, the shopping mall, the bank, anywhere you can think of.  Everywhere you go, there are prospects, or people that you may run into that fit the description of the kind of person you’re looking to partner with in your business.  So make sure you’re always prepared.

Once you have prospects in your pipeline, begin working on closing them or recruiting them into your organization.  The best ways to close a prospect is by picking up the phone and inviting them to participate in a future event. These events could be upcoming opportunity meetings, three-way calls, sizzle or opportunity calls or 1:1 presentations, etc.  The key is to make sure the prospect has had multiple impressions of the business opportunity before they sign up.

Create recruiting systems that will move your prospects through the recruitment cycle.  Make sure that the systems are duplicatable.  Your goal is a create a duplication nation so that others can do what you do.  This is how you will successfully build your downline in network marketing.  This is how you will win and grow exponentially.

Most Importantly Build a Business NOT a Downline

When you focus on building a business, you don’t have to worry so much about a downline.  This will take care of itself. You have to build training structures and systems.  This will assist in building a downline.  Your ultimate goal is fill any gaps that your company may have forgotten and make your team (your brand) feel welcome and special.  This is how to build a sustainable network marketing business.

Branding Your Network Marketing Team Names

Once you’ve decided on a team name, the next thing you will want to do is brand your team.  A few ways you can brand your team name is by developing branding colors and a creating a logo.  You can also begin to sell your branded logo items to your team or using these items as incentives when your team reaches their goals.

Understanding Your Role As a Team Leader

The team leader is the go-to person. In football, this would be the quarterback. If the team leader isn’t present and participating in all aspects of the game, then the entire organization suffers. Just like everyone follows the lead of the quarterback, the same holds true for leaders in network marketing.  You have to lead the pack.

As a leader, you must lead by example. If you say one thing and do something else, your organization will suffer. For example, you cannot tell your team to register for an event, if you are not registered. The same holds true for sales.  You cannot tell your team to sell $1,000 when you have not done it.

A team leader you will also have to be humble. Network marketing is an industry in which you cannot advance without a team, even though there are various clubs and honors you can receive on your own based on your own personal production.

It is important to cultivate an environment in your organization where everyone achieves. The more you help your team members achieve, the better off you will be. Help them to achieve success and you will achieve success as well.

A team leader is everything to everyone. You are there to serve your team members. Never forget that. Your team needs you. They need your expertise, your guidance and experience. And your role is to make sure that you are accessible enough for them to receive it.

Create a Duplication Nation

From the time you meet a prospect they’re keenly watching you.  This is where the training begins.  Your job is to model the behavior that you want to see duplicated in your organization.  If you remain consistent, this model behavior will pay off.

The beauty about network marketing is that you do not have to re-invent the wheel, you can just look at the actions of those who have already made it and duplicate their success.  Once you become a documented industry success, your team members will follow (duplicate) you.

Build Your Team from Event to Event

It’s important to build your team from event to event.  Make sure that you always have a strong representation at every corporate event.  This is key to building your team.  At events your team gets the opportunity to understand the company better.  They also get the opportunity to network with other teams.

Events are also a great opportunity to show your team spirit.  Always get your team together while your at corporate events to take photos and to give out awards and to recognize those that made it to the event.  These will be great opportunities to “go live” on social media and show others what they’re missing.  Fear of missing out on future events is what you want them to have because at events people catch on fire.  They hear other folks testimonies and they begin to understand what’s possible for them.  This is why it’s important to never miss an event and to always promote events.  It is truly the key to success.

Lead Your Team from the Front

You will want to always lead from the front versus beating from the back.  What I mean by this is that you should always work your business.  You should always recruit and sell your products or services. The moment you stop doing this, you will fall into what we call “Management Mode.”  People that fall into this state end up barking orders versus inspiring action.  Listen, if your team members wanted a boss they could just go to work everyday.  The purpose of network marketing opportunities is to help your team members fire their boss, not gain a new one.  Never forget this and you will have tremendous success.

Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant is a guide to financial freedom.  It also makes the case for network marketing.  It is the second book from the Rich Dad Series written by Robert T. Kiyosaki.  The author shares how he started from being homeless to being financially free in a few short years. The book sells on Amazon for only $12.23.  It is also available on Kindle for only $9.68. If you are tired of being just an employee who trades hours for dollars, then this book is for you.

What is Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant?

The quadrant is divided into four areas; each represents a letter that corresponds to different vocations as explained below.  n the left side are E (employees) and S (self-employed) people.  While on the right side are B (big business owners) and I (investors like Warren Buffet). The left represents the active income earners while the right is passive income. The goal is to move from being a mere employee to being an entrepreneur so you can earn more money while working less. The Cashflow Quadrant is easier to understand than most financial structure because it clearly presents the steps taken to get to the left side. Paparazzi Jewelry | What You Need to Know

Paparazzi Jewelry Company launched in 2010 in the state of Utah. It was founded by two sisters, Misty and Chani and their husbands.   The two sisters were living their passion selling products that they made by hand and loved.  They scaled their business by finding a manufacturer that would work with them in China.  Each piece of Paparrazi Jewelry costs only $5!  Even the necklace and earring sets, which is pretty cool.

What is Paparazzi Jewelry Made Of?

Paparazzi uses a blend of metals primarily iron.  Because it is a blend of metals there could be other things included in the jewelry.  Also, since the product is made in China you have to be careful if you’re allergic.  The company boasts that the jewelry is nickel and lead free, however because it’s a blend, you can’t really be sure and they do not state that the jewelry is hypoallergenic.  But don’t allow that scare you away from becoming a part of  what appears to be an awesome company. The fact that it is almost 10 years old says a lot.

Is Paparazzi Jewelry Good Quality?

From my own personal experience, most of the pieces are fine.  I have had a lot of Paparazzi Jewelry and only one piece broke.  My girlfriend was supposed to use her kit to fix it but she never did.  I would get a lot of compliments every time I wore that necklace, so I have to remind my girlfriend to fix it and give it back.  Some people have been able to keep their pieces for years.  Folks have to remember that it is costume jewelry.  Reps just have to do a better job of managing customers expectations.

How Do You Make Money Selling Paparazzi?

With this company you have to buy your inventory up front and sell them to make money. Each piece is about $2.75. You earn 45% on each item you sell.  The company encourages you to sell by hosting home parties and most women sell at vendor events. Because the cost is so low, people often buy a minimum of 4 pieces.  Most parties average anywhere from $100 to $500 in sales.  Which can earn you anywhere from $50 to $250.00.  If you host two parties a week you can earn an extra $500 per week.  Not bad!

How Is the Hostess Rewards Program for Paparazzi?

The hostess rewards program is pretty solid.  A hostess will earn FREE Jewelry for hosting a party.  The host can earn 1 FREE item just for hosting, 1 FREE item for every party booked (this is only given when the party is held). They also get 1 FREE item for every 10 items sold.  You can always throw your own incentives in there to sweeten the pot.  At the end of the key to having a good party is Hostess Coaching.

How Do You Become a Paparazzi Consultant?

Becoming a Rep is super easy, all you have to do is pick a rep and choose a starter kit. It really is as easy as they say.  When you go to the website, it simply asks you to choose who will be your sponsor, choose a kit and check out.  It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.  I wish everything in life could be as easy as that.

I would advise you to build a large team and teach your team how to sell. .  The company offers you 8 ways to earn revenue.  One of them is via the Business Builder Bonus, which is 15% of the Starter Kit Costs.  If you recruit 5 people per week with a $499 kit, then you will earn $75 x 5 = $375 a week.  And if you do this 4 times that can bring in an extra $1500/month.  Recruiting people for your business would be a lot easier than hosting home parties.

  1. Profit from retail sales
  2. Large event purchase rebates.  (This means when you place a big order of $1,000 or more for a show or expo, you can get a 10% rebate in commission)

  4. Generational Bonuses (As you promote up you get paid deeper on your organization)

As you can see from the info above, there are only 2 ways that you can earn income without building a team. Jim Rohn Building Your Network Marketing Business

If you listen to the audio Jim Rohn Building Your Network Marketing Business  you will not only become better at recruiting.  One of the things that will become clear is that storytelling is key to recruiting in network marketing.  Jim Rohn was an excellent story teller.  He knew the exact words to use to pique someone’s interest in his opportunity.

The Law of Averages from Jim Rohn Building Your Network Marketing Business

Jim spoke about The Law of Averages in his audio.  He said that if you do something often enough a ratio will appear.  For example, if you speak to 10 people a day in the beginning you might be 1 for 10.  Then over time you may be able to recruit 1 out of 10.  Eventually you will grow to being able to close 10 out of 10.  But it all happens over time and with consistency.

These quotes are amazing because they all demonstrate how being an entrepreneur allows you to earn profits, which are unlimited and wages are limited.  Additionally, the point that Jim Rohn was making is that it is best to control your future because when you do, the possibilities are endless, an important thing he recommends is to learn how marketing works with the professionals of lead generation strategies to improve your business.

 

Jim Rohn Served the Best Advice About Life

By his own confession, Mr. Rohn said that what he did to change his life was change his philosophy.  He said that he corrected his errors from the past and picked up some new habits and disciplines for the future. He said that someone once asked him how the next 10 years will be and he said that it will be just like the last 10 years.  He said that the next 10 years will be opportunity mixed with difficulty.   After expansion comes recession.  And after recession comes expansion.  Nothing really changes about life until you do.  His words of advice were not to wish for less problems, but to wish for more skills to solve the problems of the future.  Wish for more wisdom.  And keep sowing seeds, because eventually your seeds will fall on fertile ground that will be fruitful and multiply.

Jim’s Advice About Recruiting

Jim Rohn’s advice about recruiting is just like mine.  We always would say that the fortune is in the follow-up and apparently Mr. Rohn felt the same way.  I always would say that we as people need to be a beacon of light.  Mr. Rohn says we need to be bridge to take people from not knowing to knowing or from darkness to light.  His best advice was to always study.  If you’re in network marketing, you must become a student of the industry then you must practice your craft and then teach others how to do the same.
